As we all face corporate thieves daily you are probably aware of many , however for some fun and enlightenment heres a few of the worst culprits.

1 Swift credit services ltd. They issue demands for payment on their own document which states it is a court form.  At the bottom of the document it states : "Court form L600A HMCS Pre Visit letter-New Fees". This is a little odd as this "court form" does not seem to exist. This debt collection company even list "Her Majestys Courts Services Bailiff Charges"  These are just their own outrageous fees listed as though they are those of the court, which of course they are not.

2 HFI (Homes For Islington). This "Arms Length Management Organisation"  have trained their employees to disregard and undermine any concerns and issues raised by their long suffering tenants. Reports on this will follow.

3 Marstons "bailiffs" , a company who openly   lie about the status of their own employees. See article on "Out of date "bailiff"

4 JBW Enforcement, a company registered on companies house as being dormant. However they are still demanding money and adding totally disproportionate fees for their "services".  Of course they cannot possibly be demanding money with threats and menaces if they are dormant. This however is the case with many debt collectors.

This company started by "entrepreneur" Jamie Waller , a self publicist who got the BBC to do a series about him and his "bailiff" company. They have "grown" by taking over smaller "bailiff" companies. Their "Removal Notices" are completely unlawful and they have already gained negative publicity and also lost council contracts. A full report on the illegal and now commonplace disregard for due process and indeed "bailiff" law  (now just read debt collector) by this company will be posted soon. They are so blatant in their activities they deserve their own article!

The new definition of "Bailiff" is a person who is appointed by a creditor...not a court. These so called "bailiffs"  are self employed contractors, which also means they have no lawful authority as they are not working for a court.

JBW Group/ JBW enforcement. Their companies house address in the South East  is a London  postal address at 16 Hewett street EC2A 3NN. This "group of companies"  have offices throughout the UK and also offer a course on becoming a "certificated bailiff". See our article JBW Group = Highway robbery. Their Notices of Removal are entirely illegal. They make threats which they have no power to enforce.

Definition & Meaning for Dormant Company The term dormant applies to a company that, in legal terms, has no significant accounting transactions during a financial year. It is not the same as a non-trading company, a term that has no legal meaning. No significant accounting transactions means no entries in the company's accounting records. The amount paid for shares when the company is first formed and a few costs that the company may incur in order to keep the company registered at Companies House do not count as significant accounting transactions. 

So it would appear that these dormant debt collection agencies, (see also article on Debt Investigations (UK) ltd are hiding their activities and accounting under dormant status.  So if they are not trading  under the name they use, why are they collecting money with threats and menaces in the name of that company? Debt collectors are merely  third party interlopers who have either contracted for or bought the original "debt". The debt belongs to THEM and not the debtor. Thats why they have to use threats and menaces to obtain the money.

5 NSL the company complicit with local councils in fleecing the motorist. They now have their own CCTV cars with no visible camera (concealed cameras which must be using ANPR to find any cars with outstanding fines etc...) This company is a disgrace. It is blatantly stealing money with your councils help. Will you join the growing number of people who are sending their fines back to them and fighting their ludicrous theft. If your car is clamped, a portable angle grinder or 36" bolt cutters applied to the loop fixing the chain to the the clamp should do the job. Their current MD is Alistair James Cooper the registered address is available on companies house. Send your notice with your fee schedule to him. These people need to realise that their six figure salaries bring some kind of responsibility, looting the motorist over so called "offences" is a national disgrace!

6 Rundle and Co Ltd. "Certificated bailiffs" This company send out the usual computer generated "removal of your goods" letters and of course on behalf of Camden council "notices"of "bankruptcy charging order or committal to prison". They then break all the rules by putting names like " Mr. Christian" and "Mr. Hope" as the  names on the documents without any proof of their bailiff id and certification number.

The main problem is that these computer printouts arent signed! Our latest information came from a 74 year old woman who was threatened  by this company for a council tax debt relating to  her daugher who left home 30 years ago! Their thuggish notices were passed onto land of the free . Subsequently hand delivered "notices of removal" were thrust through the letterbox. They then conceded that they had been "forced" to hand the matter back to the council..this did not stop the robotic loons sending two further notices of removal. These debt collectors must know they are acting outside their authority but project the arrogance and contempt for the public which must ultimately be their undoing.

7 Debt Investigations (UK) ltd. A dormant company operating from a PO box which does not seem to exist! See full article "Dormant debt collector". This dormant company is a front for international company Intrum Justitia based in Stockholm (see wikipedia listing)  with interests all over Europe and of course Switzerland. They collect purchased debt through Debt Investigations (UK) ltd who refer to Intrum Justitia as the "creditor".

8 Bristow and Sutor These debt collectors or "bailiffs" delivered a notice of  intended seizure of goods with information  hand written on a generic document on behalf of Bristow and Sutor acting as third party interlopers for Leicester City Council.  The form states that the person attending was a bailiff and they have signed their name. The main problem is that they have no certification number on the form, therefore no proof whatsoever that they are a certificated bailiff.

As we now know the word debt collector is synonymous with "bailiff" as the definition of bailiff now describes a person who works for a creditor and not a court. This however does not excuse their employees making incorrect claims about their status. They also have their own public auction to sell the goods they have taken from the public. This is of course conveniently located at their registered address.

9 Phillips debt collection. This "bailiff" company operate from  a PO Box in Darlington. They do not appear on companies house though. They run their own "accredited" Bailiff training course. They issue demands adding hundreds of pounds by computer generated letter. One of our contributors informed us these letters add at least a hundred pounds per time. They are only allowed to charge £11.50 for their letters until they visit. This is according to Wesminsrter council whom they collect road traffic fines for. They also use their ANPR vehicles in "partnership" with the Police for Westmintser council. They are acting illegally but of course the councils do not mind as they dont take any responsibility for the thieves whom they employ to collect the national debt.

10 Newlyn PLC These debt collectors have grown in reputation by clamping cars which do not belong to alleged debtors and employing aggressive bailiffs. See article on main page.

11 DVSL. A debt collection company who have ben calling  peoples neighbours and asking for their details. This is just one of the deceptive practices which have been reported. One of their phone numbers is 01252 576 376. They are thought  to be associated Cap Quest, check their address on Companies House. They have many companies under this name with the same  address. Latest Council shame...

London Borough of Waltham Forest who "lost millions" then er more.. then more. They  can hide their corporate theft through being a Statutory Body. They have 31 unsatisfied ccjs against them as from 2009...
